About Susan Teton
Susan Teton Campbell offers an integrated opportunity to experience the Golden Elixir in life by inspiring an integrated relationship with our bodies, minds and souls along with the beat and body of the Earth. Nourishing the whole of who we are, I believe, is the path to vibrant longevity.
It is my philosophy that food become a central sacred focal point in ones life. Particularly when people are striving for expansion and growth, their receptivity it is enhanced if all their senses are awakened with the divinity of the Earth – beautiful organic whole foods.
Essential Cuisine, A Journey From Seed to Soul is the culinary practice I created from years of experience and inspiration. It is designed to awaken and dazzle the senses beyond the word “diet” by providing people with foods the body loves and the palate craves. The dining experience will leave you feeling nourished on many levels. This is the opportunity to experience pleasure instead of deprivation, feel complete instead of full, and satisfied instead of wanting.
A lifestyle that embraces a deep and respectful relationship with all life on Earth offers simplicity, ease, vitality and fulfillment. Although much of my work is focused on food, there is much more that goes into the recipe for a long, healthy and happy life. On this Blog I am going to talk a lot about food, as well as other lifestyle practices that challenged me and ultimately brought me to a place of blissful living.
Please join me and together we may become even more blissful……or at least more blissful more often.
My dietary practice is called Essential Cuisine. This is what EC is about:
Essential Cuisine combines the best of raw, cooked and cultured foods. It is a dietary Practice created to fit the lifestyle of those who want to get the most nourishment possible by ‘Making Every Bite Count’. The inspiration is derived from luscious flavors and textures, highly functional super foods, alkaline foods, probiotic rich foods, artisan oils and a healthy combination of organic whole foods from the Earth.
Why Raw, Cooked and Cultured/Fermented?
Many people striving for the optimal healthy diet move to Raw Food Cuisine. This is a great way to begin to cleanse and nourish oneself, but it is not always sustainable for various individual reasons. Some foods are actually healthier when cooked and we can often eat more legumes, alkaline grains, and vegetables when they are cooked. Essential Cuisine also includes Probiotic rich foods such as raw cultured vegetables (also known as fermented-think Sauerkraut), Kefir and other naturally fermented foods. This is a dietary practice of the Centenarians, those living to be 100 years of age in perfect health. As you acquaint yourself with this culinary treasure you will discover the best of all worlds and adopt the perfect balance for you.

CT you would be so proud so proud of me. I just put the last batch of KimChee in the fridge (left it in the dark room for two weeks, yumm!) Have a fresh batch of almond milk and almond cheese in the fridge and fed the kids Smoothie frozen bars all summer made with fresh fruits, yogurt, agave, dash of maple syrup and Flax Oil.
To quote Chef Teton… Yumm
